WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
Our technical definition is constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. What this means to you is, we change our workouts all the time (constanly varied). We teach movements that apply to everyday life (functional movements). The last thing is what sets us apart (high intensity). We go hard and fast!!! Don’t misunderstand hard and fast. We generally spend about 30 minutes at the beginning of every class warming up and learning technique. Technique is of the utmost importance to insure safe movement. Once the movement is performed well, then comes the speed!!!
CrossFit is very difficult, but it can be performed by almost anyone that is willing to WORK HARD. We “scale” the loads and volume according to the persons capability and capacity. This does not mean we make it easy! We simply make it doable.
